Full Moon Eclipse in Taurus 2004

Spectacular!
The next one is in 2007,
the last one I remember seeing,
being anything like it was last year around this time.

Dee and I drove through the Hope Slide as the darkness fell,
on the high prairie of Sumas we stopped at an exit off the freeway
and watched the show finale.
My that was a pit stop eh Dee?

We were a day late and a dollar short as the saying says,
coming home the day after we were supposed to
according to the plan we had been working on,
it was indeed a sad sad ride home,
but we made the most of a BAD bad thing.

It’s of this I want to sing, Noreen, BADee and me
were heading out of town,
Kelowna that is,
after a Bryan Adams gig the night before.
We all three had third row seats for the Bryan Adams show
in Vancouver that night and after the last pit stop
we were on the highway home.
Settling in for the long ride,
I leaned forward to put a Spirit CD into the player,
never did get it in there,
just then the truck started to fishtail on the road,
black ice was on the road too.
Time froze to slow motion as we held our breath
the fishtail getting wider with each pass side to side.
The screaming started as we went into full circular spins
across the highway towards the deepest cliffs just out of Westbank,
we all knew the cliff was coming and what would happen
if we went over the edge here, of all places.
On that last spin around I looked down the side of the cliff,
should I jump or stay in the truck if we went over?
That’s when the truck was struck by the hand of God,
or something sent from him for us, we reversed spin directions.
That’s when I went into shock I think
I stopped screaming then and heard the silence of the universal oneness
until we hit the cement barrier divider with the back of the truck.
Slow motion continued as we sat there stunned,
thank God again for Bob the Paramedic/fireman
and his son who were right behind us when the tailspin started.
He had seen the whole thing happen,
and in his work has never seen anyone who went over that edge survive.
I suppose some would say that the Great Spirit of the Canyon
saved these three sisters form the depths
but I could almost see that it was a huge hand,
coming down from above rather than being up from the depths.
Some anonymous trucker stopped ahead of us
and came running back to us with his fire extinguisher,
he too had seen us spinning behind him and was amazed
that we had stopped right at the edge of that cliff.
The Ambulance came and the Police and the Towtruck
we all ended up at the Kelowna General Hospital
instead of the next gig in Vancouver.
BADee wasn’t hurt; she had been hanging on to the steering wheel,
I had been seen and judged soft tissue damage only
from being thrown against the door,
and Noreen was still being dealt with
when we missed the last flight out
that would have gotten us to the gig in time
to see Bryan and his boys hit the stage.
There was a sad gap where we should have been,
and when they let Noreen go free, we had a pharmacy and pizza stop
before returning to the same motel we had been in the night before.
Noreen decide to go home by bus rather than with us the next day.
So BADee and I were going the slow way home
when the eclipse of the hunter moon happened in 2003
while we were in the middle of the Hope slide.
the Universe had other ideas for us that night.

Now I wonder if it was so we could be enroute up the valley for the eclipse?
